Crewing is FREE and FUN!

Crewing is a lot of fun!

While the players have their individual player characters and live as that character for the entire event, or often events, crew members play the many non-player characters and creatures they encounter. Crew may be members of an attacking warband, in the waves of a mighty army, a visiting king and his retinue, pox-ridden peasants asking for help, a ghost of a long dead warrior, a hideous witch or a rambling rock monster. And so on.

Crew are given all the required kit, costumes, make up, training and instructions. Many people at DC choose to always crew because it’s so much fun. If you are new to live action roleplay, it may be best to come and join the crew for your first event where you will be welcomed, find new friends, and see how everything works, even if you eventually decide to give playing a go.
